VOTER REGISTRATION

 Caring Center was started in 1989 by churches that wanted to provide clothing and shoes for those in need. In addition to bedding, towels and household items like dishes, cookware and silverware were added. All items are donated from community members.. We use our financial gifts for rent, utilities, insurance costs and to purchase needed items that are not donated. There is no charge for those in need.
We will provide a tax exempt receipt for those who make donations. Due to limited space and community needs we can only accept clothes that are currently in season.

Center Associates, founded in 1957, is a private not-for-profit accredited outpatient mental health clinic. The Center providers are psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, and nurse practitioners.
The Center exists to provide high quality and comprehensive mental health services to the people of Marshall and Hardin Counties in order to enhance the lives of individuals and families. We provide services for approximately 20,000 patients visits yearly in the areas of outpatient care, evaluations, emergencies, consultations, and education. ACCESS, the Assault Care Center Extending Shelter and Support, has been providing services to victims for forty years in the central Iowa Area. Established as a rape crisis center in 1974, ACCESS grew to provide both sexual assault and domestic violence services, including opening a shelter facility in 1981. ACCESS serves Marshall, Tama, Story, Boone and Greene Counties. Our Mission: The Mission of ACCESS is to address the roots and impact of domestic and sexual violence through services that enhance safety, empower survivors, and promote understanding and social justice within our community.
Services: Sexual Abuse Services: A Comprehensive response to victims shorty after an assault, or later in life after experiencing forms of sexual abuse. Advocacy focuses on helping a survivor process the abuse, seek medical care, or seek safety and justice through legal systems. Domestic Abuse Services: Services are centered around empowering a victim who has experienced abuse within a family or intimate relationship. Services include safety planning, counseling, medical/legal advocacy, and helping the victim increase support. Safe Housing/Shelter Services: ACCESS aids survivors in finding a safe and stable place to reside while fleeing from abuse or after abuse has left the survivor with limited resources.
