FOOD PACKAGING EVENT: As an intergenerational activity on November 17, 2019, we are organizing a small-scale food packaging event. Our goal is to package 2,000 Spanish rice meals during our fellowship hour on Sunday, November 17. The meals will be distributed here in Marshalltown through the Emergency Food Box. To participate you can sign up to help with the packaging event by giving your name to Carol Roush or Larry Pfantz. by November 10. You can contribute toward the $750 expense for supplies that are used to create the meals (that’s less than 40 cents per meal). Mark your contributions for “Food Packaging Event” and place in offering plate or join the crowd of observers and cheer on the workers so we enthusiastically meet our goal! If you have a God’s Work Our Hands t-shirt please wear it that Sunday!

FUNERAL PLANNING GUIDE: An Elim Lutheran Church Funeral Planning Guide was previewed by the Adult Sunday School class on Sunday, Nov. 3, and is now available for broader use. This guide will be most effective when completed to the best of one’s ability, shared with the church, family members, and mortuary of your choice BEFORE it is needed. Copies are available on the downstairs Gathering Area information table. When completed and returned to church, they will be kept in a locked file to be used only by the pastor and/or church staff as needed.
