Week of September 14, 2020

 HOLY CROSS DAY: September 14. Helena, the mother of Constantine, on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land found what she believed to be the sites of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial in what is now Jerusalem ; Church of the Holy sepulchre. The festival provides the church an opportunity to lift up the victory of the cross with a spirit of celebration. (Numbers 21:4b-9; Psalm 98:1-4; 1 Corinthians 1:18-24; John 3:3-17)

August Church Council Minutes Clarification from the September Oasis:

Treasurer’s Report-The July monthly NET INCOME of POSITIVE $2240.39 is CORRECT.  The YEAR TO DATE NET INCOME is NEGATIVE $9317.86.  NOT POSITIVE!


Children’s Center Report- The full cost of the new eave spouts for the 57 addition was $5940.  The Children’s Center paid $3000 with the church paying $2940 from the Capital Improvement Fund.


ELW HYMNAL CHECKOUT: If you would like to borrow a hymnal during this time to have at home you may stop by the church office Monday-Friday 8am-3:30pm to check one out.


VIRTUAL BIBLE STUDY: Pastor Jack will be hosting a virtual Bible study Wednesday, September 16 beginning at 6:30. The topic for September is racism.
